Job Description
The Sales and Marketing Officer will be responsible for promoting and selling the company's agribusiness products and services, identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and implementing marketing strategies to increase sales and market presence. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of agribusiness and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and sell the company's agricultural products and services to existing and potential customers.
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the agribusiness sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, agro-dealers, and other stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
Prepare and deliver product presentations and sales proposals.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote company products and services.
Visit clients regularly to provide product information and after-sales support.
Prepare sales reports, customer feedback reports, and market analysis.
Participate in agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and promotional events.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely product delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the agribusiness or agricultural sector.
Knowledge of agricultural products, farming practices, or agribusiness value chains will be an added advantage.
Requirements
Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship management skills.
Ability to identify business opportunities and close sales.
Good presentation and marketing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
Willingness to travel frequently for client visits and field activities.
Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
