Job Description

The Office Attendant is responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the office by maintaining cleanliness, handling office errands, delivering and receiving documents, preparing refreshments, and assisting staff with general office support services. The role ensures a clean, organized, and professional working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain offices, meeting rooms, and common areas.

  • Ensure all office spaces are tidy and well-organized.

  • Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and refreshments to staff and visitors.

  • Handle basic office errands such as delivering documents within departments.

  • Refill office supplies such as water, stationery, and toiletries.

  • Assist in arranging meeting rooms before and after meetings.

  • Support photocopying, printing, and simple administrative tasks when required.

  • Dispose of waste and ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained.

  • Report any maintenance issues or cleaning needs to the supervisor.

  • Perform any other duties assigned to support smooth office operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.

  • Physically fit and able to perform routine office support duties.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to support different office functions.

  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and confidentiality in the workplace.

  • Basic reading and writing skills in English and Swahili.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or higher.

  • Certificate in Office Management, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.

  • Previous experience in a similar role is an added advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and workplace etiquette.
