Job Description

Growth & Strategic Partnerships Officer is to lead business growth, partnership development, customer acquisition, brand visibility, and market expansion initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, negotiating partnerships, identifying new markets, and turning ideas into measurable business growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing customer base, securing strategic partnerships, increasing platform adoption, strengthening corporate relationships, managing growth initiatives, and ensuring the company remains visible and relevant within its target markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships Development

Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships that contribute to the growth of Okoatime.

Build and maintain relationships with:

  • Private companies

  • Government institutions

  • NGOs

  • Schools and universities

  • Hospitals

  • Financial institutions

  • Professional associations

  • Retail and wholesale businesses

Represent Okoatime professionally in meetings, presentations, and partnership discussions.

 

Corporate Business Development

Actively seek and secure new corporate clients.

Develop and promote corporate solutions including:

Employee Grocery Credit Program

Engage HR departments and company leadership teams to introduce Okoatime's employee grocery support program where employees can access groceries and essential products with payment arrangements coordinated through their employers.

Employee Wellness & Fruit Program

Promote healthy workplace initiatives by encouraging organizations to provide regular fruit packages and wellness products to employees through Okoatime.

Develop customized corporate packages based on client needs and budgets.

 

Customer Acquisition & Market Expansion

Develop and execute strategies aimed at increasing:

  • App downloads

  • Active users

  • Repeat customers

  • Corporate customers

  • Revenue growth

Identify underserved markets and recommend expansion opportunities.

Work closely with operations and sales teams to improve customer acquisition and retention.

 

Brand Growth & Visibility

Drive initiatives that increase Okoatime's visibility and reputation in the market.

Identify opportunities for:

  • Brand awareness campaigns

  • Community engagement

  • Strategic sponsorships

  • Business networking

  • Industry events and exhibitions

Ensure the company remains visible and competitive within the market.

 

Influencer & Community Relations

Build and manage relationships with:

  • Influencers

  • Content creators

  • Business leaders

  • Community leaders

  • Public figures

  • Media stakeholders

Develop partnerships that increase awareness and credibility while minimizing marketing costs.

Social Media Growth

Oversee social media growth initiatives.

Work with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to ensure social media platforms:

  • Increase brand awareness

  • Generate leads

  • Drive app downloads

  • Increase customer engagement

  • Generate sales opportunities

Monitor performance and recommend improvements.

 

DSR Team Leadership

Support and supervise Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs).

Responsibilities include:

  • Performance monitoring

  • Lead generation tracking

  • Route planning support

  • Market coverage improvement

  • Conversion tracking

  • Coaching and motivation

Ensure DSR activities contribute directly to business growth.

 

Research & Innovation

Continuously monitor:

  • Market trends

  • Customer behavior

  • Competitor activities

  • Industry developments

Identify opportunities for new products, services, partnerships, and revenue streams.

Present recommendations to management regularly.

 

Reporting & Performance Management

Prepare and submit regular reports covering:

  • Business development activities

  • Partnership opportunities

  • Customer acquisition performance

  • Market research findings

  • Growth initiatives

  • Revenue opportunities

Provide actionable recommendations based on findings.

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

  • Business Administration

  • Marketing

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Public Relations

  • Commerce

  • Economics

  • Sales and Marketing

  • Any related field

Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years experience in:

  • Business Development

  • Strategic Partnerships

  • Corporate Sales

  • Marketing

  • Account Management

  • Commercial Growth

Experience working in startup environments, logistics, e-commerce, technology, retail, or fast-growing businesses will be highly preferred.
